Two held with firearm

GAZIPUR: Police in a drive arrested two people along with a firearm and bullets on Tongi-Kaliganj road in Pubail area of the city early yesterday, reports UNB. The arrestees were Bishwa Chandra Saha, 36, a resident of Kaliganj thana, and Shah Alam, 38. On secret information, police conducted a drive in the area early in the morning while the duo was taking preparation to commit robbery, said sub-inspector Saiful Islam, in-charge of Pubail police camp.
The law-enforcers arrested them along with one revolver, five rounds of bullet and one magazine. They also seized a car and truck from the spot.
