Relief distributed through BDRCS

Grameenphone has started a relief operation of Taka 10 crore for the victims of the ongoing flood across the country, reports BSS.

The funds will go towards the preparation of relief packs for distribution through its disaster response partner Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), said a GP press release here yesterday.

Grameenphone started to distribute reliefs in most affected 10 districts from August 23 with help of BDRCS. GP plans to provide food to over 53,000 families and medical treatment to 12,000 people in next few weeks.
