MSC back to winning ways

A couple goals from Nkowcha Kingsley steered Mohammedan Sporting Club to get back to winning ways in the Saif Power Battery Bangladesh Premier League football defeating Team BJMC by 3-1 yesterday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

It was second win for Mohammedan from six outings as they suffered defeats in other four matches.  

Mohammedan began brightly and took only 12 minutes to get a shot on target, Nkwocha Kingsley’s weak effort from the penalty arch found the net while BJMC goalkeeper looked very shaky as he did not dive to hold the ball, this time the Nigerian beat two defenders when they trying to intercept him (1-0).    

Mohammedan inspired by the early lead continued to press and two minutes later went very closer two double the lead but Toklis missed his attempt from narrow distance to the post when he found space on the left of the penalty area after Faisal Mahmud assisted a nice cross low cross.  

Mohammedan finished the half on top when Toklis with a sharp solo run set up a cross inside the area and Nkwocha advanced quickly to shot into near post on 45th minute following saw his attempt denied by the side post a minute before (2-0). After the scintillating first-half display that helped Mohammedan  come back to winning track, added one and conceded one goal in the second half.

The Black and White after their 2-0 lead the first half took 33 minutes to increase the tally when Shakil’s lofted cross was not cleared by BJMC keeper and came to Samson Illiasu’s way who superbly blasted a low volley into the top corner of the net (3-0).

BJMC could reduce one goal with Yoko Smanik kept the ball in his possession after being intercepted by two defenders and finally edged past the goalkeeper to open the net and placed it comfortably (1-3).
