Armed Police Battalion (APBn) with the help of customs officials yesterday arrested two women with 64 gold bars, worth about Tk about 3.25 crore, from the Green Channel area of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital, reports UNB. Assistant Commissioner of customs Mohammad Sahiduzzaman confirmed the news saying, “Being informed, they recovered total 64 gold bars of 7.40 kgs searching the bodies of Jesmin Akhter and Jerin Begum at about 1 pm yesterday.” The custom official said they landed at the airport by a domestic flight from Chittagong yesterday. A case was filed with Airport Police Station in this connection.
