Low forms in Bay, rain likely from tomorrow

Monsoon rain is likely to be activated from Wednesday, as a low pressure has formed over the west-central Bay of Bengal and its adjoining area, the meteorological department said yesterday. It developed as a low pressure on Sunday afternoon, but got mixed up with the monsoon axis running over the area to the centre of the low pressure, helping the rain to brew with heat and humidity.
This comes after the last heavy rainfall of Aug 1, that was induced by the cyclonic storm Komen.
