Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her cabinet colleagues yesterday enjoyed three rhymes by science and technology minister Yeafesh Osman. One of the rhymes was on Sheikh Kamal, elder brother of Sheikh Hasina assassinated on the black night of August 15, 1975, another on the achievement of Bangladesh in the ICT sector and the third one was on the Liberation War and cricket. The cabinet members, during yesterday’s meeting, congratulated Yeafesh with ovation after the recitation of his self-composed rhymes. Son of eminent novelist Shawkat Osman, Yeafesh likes to compose and recite rhymes. He also likes to present those at different functions, even at party meetings. Yeafesh, who completed graduation in architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, was appointed the state minister for the science and technology affairs ministry during
the tenure of the last Awami League-led government. He was promoted as minister to the same ministry last month.
