The Supreme Court (SC) is going into more than a month long vacation today, leaving two Chamber Judge Courts and 22 vacation benches to deal with the emergency matters at the Appellate Division and High Court Division respectively, reports BSS.
The SC will come into regular action on October 3.
“Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain and Justice Hasan Foez Siddique have been nominated by the chief justice to conduct trial proceedings at the Appellate Division Chamber Judge Court. Justice Hossain will deal with the cases at the apex court on August 29 and September 6, while Justice Siddique will hear cases on September 11, 20 and 26," a notice signed by SC Additional Registrar Arunava Chakraborty said.
Meanwhile, another notice signed by High Court Division Deputy Registrar (administration and judicial) Md. Azizul Haque said 22 vacation benches will deal with emergency matters at the High Court during the period.
