Noor visits flood-hit Hatibandha

DHAKA: Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor yesterday visited different flood affected areas of Hatibandha in Lalmonirhat district and distributed cash among the victims, reports BSS. Secretary of Cultural Affairs Ministry Md Ibrahim Hossain Khan, Director General of Public Library Ashish Kumar Sarker, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Secretary Jahangir Hossain Chowdhury, Joint Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Ministry Abdul Mannan Ilias, Lalmonirhat Zilla Parishad Chairman Advocate Md Motiar Rahman and Police Super Rashidul Haque accompanied the minister, said an official release.

After visiting different flood affected areas of Hatibandha area, the minister distributed cash among around 1,000 flood affected families at Doani High School ground at Goddimari.

Speaking on the occasion, he said it is the moral duty of all to stand by the flood affected people.
