600 families get relief materials

GAIBANDHA:A total of 600 distressed and flood-affected families in Sadar and Shaghata upazilas of the district received relief materials yesterday. The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRSC) at a function handed down the relief materials among flood-hit people with its secretary Rezaul Karim Reza in the chair. Gaibandha Zila Parishad Chairman Ataur Rahman Ata addressed the function as the chief guest while Mayor of Gaibandha Municipality Advocate Shah Masud Zahangir Kabir Milon was present as the special guest. Later, the chief and special guests distributed the packets of relief materials among 600 flood-affected families.
