Criminals throw acid on farmer

Criminals threw acid on a farmer at Sonakania village in Gabtoli upazila of Bogra district on Wednesday night over land dispute.

Shamsul Haque Mondal, 55, son of late Nozibullah Mondal was rushed to the burn unit of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.

Residential surgeon Shamsul Haque said he sustained burn injuries on his upper body and hands.

He came under the attack near his house while he was returning home after watching TV from a nearer shop.

Dudu Member, brother of the victim Shamsul Haque filed a case accusing four people in this connection with Gabtoli police station.

Confirming the incident Md Khairul Bashar, officer-in-charge of Gabtoli Model police station said a team of police visited the spot and is trying to arrest the criminals.
