Australia’s cricket board has promised a review of the Ashes debacle after the dead rubber Test at The Oval and will seek answers to the team’s continued flops on foreign pitches, according to cricket.com.au.
Cricket Australia (CA) promised to look into the matter ahead of their series in Bangladesh in October.

In acknowledging that he will have no say in the personnel he leads on Australia’s first Test tour to Bangladesh in almost a decade – and assuming he is ratified as skipper – Smith is sufficiently savvy to realise he will be charged with shaping a new team in his own image.
“There is a possibility there could be some changes and some younger guys coming in (for the Bangladesh series),” Smith said.
“I think Bangladesh is going to be quite a tough tour, it’s another place that is quite foreign to us as Australian batters.
“So we’re going to have to find ways to adapt to those conditions, like we haven’t done well here.
“If it works out that way and I am the next captain, then it’s a lot of responsibility.
“There’s obviously a few guys on this tour, the senior players that haven’t been taking part in the last couple of games (such as Brad Haddin and Shane Watson) and it’s always tough when you lose those guys.
“But I think it’s exciting for Australian cricket, we’re going to have some younger guys coming through.”
