Nahid urges all to uphold Bangabandhu’s ideology

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid yesterday urged all to work for upholding ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to build a prosperous country, reports BSS.

“We have to materialise dream of Bangabandhu through transforming Bangladesh into a poverty-free country,” he told a discussion on the premises of Bangladesh Technical Education Board here, an official release said. The technical education board organized the discussion on “Life and Philosophy of Bangabandhu” on the occasion of his 42nd martyrdom anniversary.

Prime Minister's Special Assistant Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Secretary of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Division Md Sohrab Hossain, Director General of Directorate of Technical Education Board Dr Ashok Kumar Biswas and Chairman of Bangladesh Technical Education Board Dr Md Mostafizur Rahman, among others, addressed the discussion with Secretary of Technical and Madrasa Division Md Alamgir in the chair. Chairman of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad presented the keynote paper at the discussion.

Nahid said, “Bangladesh emerged an independent country in 1971 under visionary leadership of Bangabandhu. He (Bangabandhu) wanted to build a ‘Sonar Bangla’ by bringing smiles on Bangalees through removing all sorts of deprivation.”
