Satyajit Rays famous series Feluda on Bangladeshi TV, web soon

A new television adaptation based on the famous Satyajit Ray character, Detective Feluda, is going to hit Bangladeshi TV and web soon, says a press release. The announcement came from a press conference held yesterday. Kandy Productions and TOM Creations announced that they have received the rights to work on Feluda from Satyajit Rays son, Sandeep Ray. The first season of the series will feature four episodes and the rest of the episodes will be made later in phases.
Present at the press conference as guests were Faridur Reza Sagor, Managing Director, Channel i; Satyajit Rays son and famous film director, Sandeep Ray; Ziauddin Adil, CEO of Top of Mind; Syed Gousul Alam Shaon, Managing Director of Grey Advertising Bangladesh Ltd; Farha Naz Zaman, Head of media operations, Grameenphone, Managing Director of Adda Times Rajib Mehra along with other top officials from Top of Mind and Kandy Productions.
The four stories that the episodes will be based on are Sheyal Debota Rahasya, Ghurghutiyar Ghatona, Golokdham Rahasya, and Gangtokey Gondogol. This Eid, Channel i is going to telecast Sheyal Debota Rahasya and Ghurghutiyar Ghatona. The viewers will also be able to watch this in Bioscope platforms in Bangladesh and in Adda Times from outside Bangladesh, after the TV telecast.
Ziauddin Adil opined at the conference, Since Satyajit Ray first penned the larger than life character of Feluda; the beloved detective has ruled the hearts and minds of readers of Bengali literature. The stories of Feluda have captivated the imagination of Bengali readers for decades, and it is with great anticipation that I look forward to this adaptation, and feel pride that it is coming from Bangladesh.
Satyajit Rays son Sandeep Ray added, I am very happy that Feluda is being made with a new look in Bangladesh. Todays generation will see the iconic detective on the screen, and i believe that the charm of the character will fascinate them just like it did in the past. l
