ACC arrests UP chairman, 5 others
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday arrested six people, including a Union Parishad chairman, from Pabna in a graft case over misappropriating rice meant for government VGF programme .
An ACC team arrested them from Pabna town, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
The arrestees are Nagdemra Union Parishad chairman Harun Ur Rashid, UP members Rafiqul Islam Dudu, Md Nannu Pramanik, Md Abdul Momin,Md Miton Sarkar and Md Abdul Matin.
BAF Air defence exercise held
Air Defence Exercise ADEX 2017 of Bangladesh Air Force was held in Dhaka, Chittagong, Jessore, Tangail and Bogra on Wednesday.
The aim of this exercise is to assess and evaluate the efficiency and capability of BAF Air Defence and identify the weaknesses and draw lessons for further improvement in air defence system.
The exercise will help to identify the limitation and draw appropriate lessons for improvement in future
As a part of the exercise, the pilots of BAF practised different air combat maneuvers and tactics including attak and interception by the fighter aircraft, surveillance from the air to the enemy attacking area, protecting Air Bases, transporting weapons and special operations.
