The High Court (HC) yesterday issued a rule asking authorities concerned to explain in two weeks as to why it shall not pass order to grant monthly pay order (MPO) to 82 teachers working in different public and private institutes, reports BSS.
A High Court division bench comprising Justice Naima Haider and Justice Abu Taher Md. Saifur Rahman issued the rule after holding primary hearing on a writ filed in this regard.
“These 82 teachers, who have been enlisted by Non-Government Teachers' Registration & Certification Authority (NTRCA), are not getting MPO in spite of fulfilling all the conditions. They recently filed the writ, pleading for court's directive in this regard,” said advocate Mohammad Siddik Ullah, who moved the petition before the court. The court ordered five officials, including Education Secretary and NTRC Chairman, to comply with the order.
