Farmer drowns in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI: A farmer drowned in the Jamuneswari river at Rupali kesba village in Kishorganj upazila of the district yesterday, reports BSS.

Police identified the deceased as Akbar Ali, 60, a resident of the same area.

Ali drowned while swimming in the river.

Later locals recovered him unconscious from the river and whisked off him to a nearby hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead.
