Dhaka University (DU) teachers will be donating the equivalent of their salary for one day's work to helping the countrywide flood-affected people, reports UNB. The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the Executive Council of Dhaka University Teachers Association (DUTA) held at the University Club on Friday evening, confirmed DUTA General Secretary Professor Rahmat Ullah on Monday.
Teachers of the university have already been informed regarding the decision in a notification signed by Professor Rahmat Ullah.
The notice also said any teacher unwilling to contribute can submit an application to that effect with the Accounting Director, University of Dhaka by August 24. Sumiarmanyone wants to more contribute DUTA will gratitude for this.
