Movement of heavy vehicles on Rangamati-Chittagong road, which remained suspended for 68 days due to damage of the road following massive landslides, resumed on Monday morning, reports UNB.
The newly built bailey bridge at Shalbon in Shapchhari was opened to heavy transport after two long months.
Earlier on June 13, 100 miter areas of Rangamati-Chittagong road was eroded suspending the link of Ragamati with the other parts of the country.
After nine days of renovation the road was opened to light vehicles only, disrupting the trade and business in the district.
