COMILLA: Amid protests of teachers and students, the Comilla University authorities issued a letter on Monday withdrawing its decision on sending its teacher Mahbubul Haque Bhuyian on forced leave, reports UNB.
Mahbubul Haque Bhuiyan, the acting chairperson of Mass Communication and Journalism Department of CU, who had been sent on forced leave for one month, has received the withdrawal letter signed by Md Mojibur Rahman Majumder, registrar of the university.
Earlier on Sunday, the teacher sent a legal notice to the authority to withdraw his forced leave order within 12 hours.
On August 17, Mahbubul Haque was sent on the forced leave following the demand of Chhatra League for allegedly taking class on the National Mourning Day.
