The selection panel of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) kept all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad out of the first Test of the two-match Test series against the top-notch Australia.
That did not flummox him as the all-rounder will fly for Jamaica within the next two days to play the ongoing edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) blockbuster Twenty20 tournament.
He will be fourth Bangladesh player in CPL stint after Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Mehedi Hasan Miraj, who returned home from CPL without playing any match for Trinbago Knight Riders.
Riyad will soon join the tent of the defending champion Jamaica Tallawahs, the team for which Shakib played three matches. The ace all-rounder departed from Miami to join the Tigers’ ongoing intense practice session for the Test series against Australia.
The 31-year-old right-handed allrounder, who applied for non-objection certificate (NOC) after being received proposal from the Jamaica Tallawahs, said that it will add vast experience in his kitty.
