Food Safety Conference Aug 23

 The Bangladesh Food Safety Conference 2017 will begin in the capital on August 23 with the slogan “Protecting Consumers: A Shared Responsibility”, reports BSS.

Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu will inaugurate the two-day conference, the first of its kind in the country, at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel on August 23. Food minister Advocate Md. Qamrul Islam will attend it as special guest.

Commerce minister Tofail Ahmed will attend the closing session as chief guest.

“This conference will bring together the food industry with the regulators and two chambers to open a dialogue on the importance of working together to enhance quality and safety for the consumers," said MCCI general secretary Faruk Ahmed at a press conference here today.
