Ken Caldwell, international executive director (ED) of WaterAid, arrives in Dhaka tomorrow for a five-day official visit to Bangladesh, reports BSS. The WaterAid International ED will hold several meetings at WaterAid offices and also make courtesy call on government officials and executive directors of partner organisations.
During his trip, he will visit state of the art Faecal Sludge Management plant in Saidpur, public toilet facilities built by WaterAid in collaboration with Dhaka North City Corporation and Dhaka South City Corporation.
Caldwell will also visit school sanitation complexes and climate resilience interventions in coastal belt of Bangladesh and the icddr,b Hospital.
“His visit signifies WaterAid International commitment to improve Bangladesh’s public health and sanitation facilities,” a WaterAid press release said yesterday.
It said the primary objectives of his tour is to give strategic directions to WaterAid Bangladesh in line to attaining SDG six goals and also ensuring safe and clean water, sanitation and hygiene reaches everyone, everywhere by 2030.
