Tk 100 crore released for dev of municipalities

Local government division has released Tk 100 crore as first and second installments of block allocation from annual development budget for fiscal 2017-18 for the development of 326 municipalities, reports BSS. ”Finance division has been directed to release nearly Taka 100 crore as first and second installments of block allocation for the development of 326 municipalities,” Joint-Secretary of Local Government Division Rowshan Ara Begum told the news agency yesterday.

According to the directive, 169 first class municipalities would get Tk 32 lakh each, 106 second class municipalities 30 lakh each and 51 third class municipalities Tk 27.64 lakh each. A total Tk 440 core was allocated for 326 municipalities for financial year

2017-18.
