Prabir Mitra, a unique name in the country’s filmdom. The National Film Award winning actor is going to step into 77 today. Prabir Mitra won the prestigious National Film Award for his role in the film ‘Boro Bhalo Lok Chilo’ directed by Mohiuddin. In the beginning of his career, Prabir Mitra was seen playing the role of hero in a number of films. Then, he started playing  different types of characters according to the demand of the story in numerous films and earned huge admiration from the viewers.

On his birthday today, Prabir Mitra will stay at home as the veteran actor is physically ill. Prabir Mitra said, “I am a little bit sick and I cannot walk properly. I need the support of a stick to walk. For this reason, I do not usually go outside of home if not necessary. I will stay at home on birthday. I have no plan to go anywhere. I guess my family members may do something at home in connection of my birthday. I seek prayers from everyone for my healthy and happy life.”

Prabir Mitra-starrer last film was ‘Briddhashram’. According to Prabir Mitra, his film ‘Noyoner Alo’, directed by Belal Ahmed, was the most remarkable film of his career.

Prabir Mitra made his film debut as a hero with the film ‘Jolchhobi’. His friend ATM Shamsuzzaman mainly lent a hand to him for working in this film. After ‘Jolchhobi’, Prabir Mitra was also seen playing the role of hero in the films like ‘Chabuk’, ‘Titas Ekti Nodir Naam’, ‘Jaliat’, ‘Teer Bhanga Dhew’, ‘Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo’, ‘Ramer Sumoti’, ‘Nabab Siraj-Ud-Doula and others.
