Two killed in Narsingdi

Narsingdi: Two people, including an engineer, were hacked to death by some miscreants in two separate incidents in Belabo and Narsingdi Sadar upazilas on Wednesday night, reports UNB. Golam Mostofa, officer-in-charge of Narsingdi Sadar Police Station, said Sujon Saha, son of Bimal Saha, along with his wife Aditi Saha went to his in-laws house in Sadar upazila.

A group of miscreants stabbed Sujon when they reached Kalibari temple area at 11.30 pm, leaving him critically injured. Later, Sujon was rushed to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead. He was residing in Pirerbagh area of Mirpur. In another incident, police recovered the body of Al-Amin Mia, an engineer, from a jute field. He was hacked by some miscreants while returning home from his office at night in Belabo upazila. Police suspect that the murder might be taken place over previous enmity, added the OC.

Police sent the bodies to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue.
