Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit the flood-ravaged Kurigram and Dinajpur districts on Sunday to see for herself the devastation caused by the ongoing flood fury, reports UNB. During the day-long tour, Sheikh Hasina will visit some flood-affected areas in the two districts and distribute relief materials among flood victims, an official at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) told the news agency.
The prime minister will first fly to Dinajpur Sadar upazila and distribute relief items among the flood-hit people at the flood shelter at Dinajpur District School. Later, she will go to Forakkabad union under Birol upazila and distribute relief materials among the affected people at Teghora High School flood shelter.
Sheikh Hasina will then go Rajarhat in Kurigram and distribute relief among the flood-hit people at Panga High School Ground.
The overall flood situation is yet to be stable as there has been a slight improvement in the overall scenario in the northern districts of Dinajpur, Lalmonirhat and Gaibandha.
