DUJ rally for 9th wage board Aug 20

Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) will stage a protest rally covering face with black cloth on August 20 to press home their demand for formation of the 9th wage board for the journalists immediately.

The rally will be held in front of the Jatiya Press Club at 11 am on the day. DUJ President Shaban Mahmood declared the movement from their pre-scheduled sit-in in front of the JPC on Wednesday.

Former secretary general of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Abdul Jalil Bhuiyan, Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) General Secretary Mursalin Nomani, Dhaka Sub-Editors Council (DSEC) President KM Shahidul Haque and General Secretary Abul Kalam Azad, DUJ Organizing Secretary Md Shahjahan Mian, Publicity Secretary Aktar Hossain and Executive Committee Member Mahmudur Rahman Khokan spoke, among others.
