Bangladesh Railway (BR) will operate seven pairs of special trains on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha to carry the Eid passengers on different routes from August 29 to September 9, reports BSS.
“We will also operate two special trains including Solakia Special-1 and Solakia Special-2 on the Eid day on Bhairab-Kishoreganj and Mymensingh-Kishoreganj routes to facilitate the devout Muslims to join the Sholakia Eid prayers,” Railways Minister M Muzibul Hoque told a press briefing at his ministry’s conference room yesterday.
The minister said Dewanganj Special train will ply on Dhaka-Dewanganj-Dhaka route from August 29 before the Eid and from September 3 to 9 after the Eid, while Chandpur Special-1 and Chandpur Special-2 will ply on Chittagong-Chandpur-Chittagong route during the days.
