Premier soccer league deferred for two days

The league committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) finally realised the worst condition of the ground of Bangabandhu National Stadium, as they deferred the league matches for two days.
Due to continuous rain for last few days the ground of the BNS turned into almost unplayable where at least it is not possible to play any professional football match.
But last few matches of the league took place in an unplayable ground when it was quite impossible for the players to play their usual performances.
The league will resume from tomorrow with the matches of Wednesday, Saif Power Sporting Club- Muktijoddha and Arambagh-Brothers Union will take place.
A total of 22 matches were held up to Monday last (August 15) since the league got underway fro July 28 while eight teams finished the fourth round and four teams will complete on Friday.
Chittagong Abahani Limited are leading the points table with 12 from four matches followed by Sheikh Jamal are on 10 from as many matches.
But the holders Abahani Limited managed seven points with two wins, one draw and one defeat.
