2785 mobile SIM cards seized, 4 held in Bogra

Detective Branch (DB) of Police of Bogra seized 2785 registered SIM cards and detained four people in this connection from Katnarpara in Bogra yesterday.

Asaduzzaman, superintendent of Bogra police, said the gang sales the SIM (subscriber identity module) cards to the people. It is very dangerous for the customers because those SIM cards were registered using others’ fingerprints.

Police produced the seized SIM cards of Robi, Grameenphone and Teletalk before media at a press conference.

The arrestees are Ashique Daulat allies Avi, 33, son of late Nizam Uddin, Nayan Islam, 28, son of late Abdul Goffar, Riyal Sheikh allies Niru, 20, son of late Mithu Sheiikh, and Rafiul Islam allies Antar, 20, son of Enamul Hassen allies Niru of village South Katnarpara in the town.

A case was lodged with shadar police station in this connection, said SP.
