Musical soiree Srotar Asar held at Chhayanaut

Cultural organisation Chhayanaut arranged a musical evening as a part of its regular monthly musical soiree titled Srotar Asar, which features performances by noted singers and promising artistes, at its Ramesh Chandra Auditorium on Friday evening. The programme began with a performance of Raag Vimpolsri and ended with Raag Durga.
At the programme, Noshin Tabassum Saran performed Raag Vimpolsri and Dipti Somaddar performed Raag Puriakolyan while Iftekhar Alom Dollar accompanied them on tabla, Sonchita Das on harmonium, Prodip Kumar Ray on tanpura and Motiar Rahman on sarengi.
Besides, Suptika Mondol presented Raag Sudhkolyan, accompanied by Roton Kumar Das on tabla, Tinku Shil on harmonium, Champa Mohonto on tanpura, while Abhijit Kundu presented Raag Kedar, accompanied by Sushen Kumar Roy on pakhawaj and Chompa Mohonto on tanpura.
The programme ended with the performances of Raag Durga by Laika Bashir with Iftekhar Alom Dollar on tabla, Sonchita Das on harmonium, Prodip Kumar Ray on tanpura and Motiar Rahman on sarengi.
