Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club dropped points for the first time after winning three matches in a row in the Saif Power Battery Bangladesh Premier League football when Rahmatganj MFS came from a goal down to force for a 0-0 draw yesterday.
Held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, Sheikh Jamal despite taking the lead inside 20 minutes failed to keep up the momentum and conceded goal right after two minutes and rest of more than 75 minutes were goalless.
However, both sides began with desperate mood to win the game and Jamal broke the deadlock on 21st minute when Mamoudu Bah opened the score with a beautiful angular volley on an Enamul’s through pass, which went into the far corner of net (1-0).
But the lead of the title contenders lasted for only two minutes as Asif Hossain, equaled the margin with low shot on 23rd (1-1).
