Ascent Corporate Cup soccer begins Aug 17

12th Ascent Corporate 5-a-side football Tournament will kick off August 17 on the Ascent Group’s Scholastica Uttara campus. The final will take place on August 26.
This year will be the 12th year running of the  tournament, an initiative taken in 2006 to create a platform where corporate executives play soccer to form friendships in the corporate world, tighten team bonding and network amongst industry colleagues.
Corporate Houses find that competitive amateur sporting events like the Ascent Corporate Cup boosts morale and company loyalty bringing employees together as a spirited team and that has been the success of Excalibur Entertainment, the creator of this event.
The Ascent Group  which is a leading education based group of companies have been the title sponsor for the last 10 years , continuing the support to keep the tournament growing and popular in the corporate world.  This year 44 corporate teams are participating in the tournament.
