Mother, son electrocuted

A woman and her son were electrocuted at Akua Darbar Sharif Road in the district town yesterday afternoon.

The victims are Fatema Khatun, 35, wife of Mofizul Islam of Kamaria village in Tarakanda upazila and their three-year-old son Mohammad Abdullah.

The incident took place around 2 pm as Abdullah came in contact with a live electric wire in the kitchen when his mother was cooking, said police quoting local people. As Fatema tried to save her son, she also got electrocuted.
