Minor boy found dead in Chuadanga

Firefighters recovered the body of a minor boy from Mathavanga river in Gangni upazila of Meherpur district yesterday morning, reports BSS. The boy identified as Taufiq Ahmed, 08, was an inhabitant of Amtoil village of Gangni upazila. Family members said Taufiq went out yesterday noon and did not return home.

Later, they suspected that he might have drowned in the river after seeing his sandal on the bank of the river and informed Alamdanga firefighters about the matter.

The firefighters recovered the body from the river in Nilmoniganj area under Alamdanga upazila of the district around 10am.
