Firearms, bullets seized in Jessore

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), recovered two pistols, 20 bullets and four magazines from Gatipara area of Benapole Bandar Thana yesterday morning.

On a tip-off, a BGB team from Daulatpur camp conducted the raid in the area and recovered the firearms and bullets in an abandoned condition, a BGB official said.

Sensing the presence of BGB personnel, the arms and ammunition carriers managed to flee, he
