State-owned mobile operator Teletalk Bangladesh Limited will provide all sorts of technological supports to the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) to ensure transparency in fertilizer management, reports BSS.
In this regard, a corporate memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed yesterday between Teletalk and BCIC at the industries ministry conference room in the capital, said a press release.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu and State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Division Begum Tarana Halim were present at the MoU signing ceremony while BCIC Secretary Hasnat Ahmed Chowdhury and Teletalk Managing Director Kazi M Golam Kuddus signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
Under the MoU, Teletalk will provide all services, including voice, SMS, MMS and mobile tracking, to BCIC at low prices for expediting the fertilizer monitoring activities of BCIC.
Teletalk will also track all transportation activities of fertilizer import on the way of sea from mother vessels to dealer vessels.
