Man stabbed for protesting stalking

SAVAR: A man was stabbed by two youths as he protested stalking of his daughter in Rajfulbaria Shapla Housing area here on Thursday, reports UNB.

The injured man was identified as Nowsher Alam.

Locals said Raihan along with his friend Rana used to stalk Nipa Akhter, 14, a class X student of Savar Girls' School on her way. As Nipa informed it to her father he protested it.

Being agitated, the two youths stabbed Nowsher Alam indiscriminately with a sharp weapon, leaving him injured.

When locals tried to save Nowsher the stalkers beat them up and attacked their houses, leaving four people injured. The stalkers also looted Tk 10,000 and a gold chain from the houses.
