Three persons including a woman were killed in separate road accidents in the capital’s Kawla, Mirpur and Uttara areas on Wednesday night and early yesterday, reports BSS.
Two of the deceased were identified as Habib, 20, a worker of a garments factory at Hemayetpur in Savar, and Habibur Rahman alias Habu, 14, a worker of a factory at Turag in Tongi while the identity of the woman, 35, could not be known immediately.
In the first incident, a truck crushed Habib under wheels around 10.30pm on Wednesday while he was crossing the road in front of Shah Ali Shrine at Mirpur, police sources said.
He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead around 12.45am yesterday.
In the second incident, an unidentified woman was killed when a vehicle knocked him down near Kawla Bridge under Bimanbandar Police Station around 12am today, assistant sub inspector (ASI) Jahangir told BSS.
She was rushed to the DMCH in a critical condition where the attending physicians pronounced her dead around 1.30am.
In the last incident, a speeding passenger bus of VIP Paribahan hit Habu at Sector-1 in Uttara around 12am while he was crossing the road.
Police rescued him and sent him to the DMCH where he was declared dead around 1.30am yesterday.
Three separate unnatural death cases were lodged to this end.
