The operational activities at Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport were halted for about three hours after a navy plane skidded off its runway yesterday. However, no casualty was reported.
The airport authorities had to suspend its runway operations for three hours from 5:47pm.
Airport Manager Wing Commander Reazul Kabir said, “Operations at the airport remained suspended from 5:47pm as a navy plane skidded off the runway while landing.”
Due to the suspension, no domestic and international flight took off from the airport, Kabir said adding that the operations at the airport resumed around 9pm.
