Doctors of Barisal Sher-e- Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) went on work abstention at out door patients’ service from yesterday noon protesting attack on on eof their fellows.
He is the physician of out door child department of the hospital.
Acknowledging the incident Dr Abdul Kader, deputy director of SBMCH said one Shah Alam Bhuiyan aatcked Dr Fayzul Haque Ponir, residence doctor of child department overtrivial matter.
Protesting the attack, all the doctors came out from their out door chambers and stopped their work. Police later rushed to the spot and took the situation under control.
Sher-e- Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) authorities later detained the attacker and handed over to the police. A case was filed in this connection, said DD, SBMCH.
Dr Noor-un-Nabi, spokesman of the doctors said that if authorities ensure minimum security on their job place, they would join work from Saturday. Other wise strike will be extended.
Hundreds of patients suffered badly due to the strike.
