A study has found that people have limited awareness about the social protection schemes, reports UNB.
It also revealed that people have limited access to the social protection schemes and low benefits level.
The findings of the study conducted in Sylhet and Moulvibzar districts were disseminated at a national workshop on “Inclusive Social Protection Programme for the Poor” in the capital yesterday.
Save the Children, with six other consortium members, conducted the study as part of a multi-year DFID-funded programme ‘Suchana’ aiming to significantly reduce the incidence of stunting in the districts of Sylhet and Moulvibazar where the highest rate of stunting, 49.6 percent, exists.
