CHITTAGONG: A community clinic was opened at Tripurapara in Sitakunda upazila on Wednesday to provide health care services to the indigenous people of the hilly area, reports UNB.
Chittagong Civil Surgeon Azizur Rahman Siddiqui inaugurated the makeshift community clinic at Baro Aulia around 10 am.
“The clinic was opened at a place near Dhaka-Chittagong rail line adjacent to Hafiz Jute Mills for now and it'll be shifted to another place after confirmation,” said Azizur.
There will be a community health care provider and two field health workers at the clinic and all kinds of health services, including immunisation, will available there, he added.
Besides, people will get the opportunity to test their blood pressure, sugar and cough at the clinic and get medicine free of cost, the civil surgeon said.
The community clinic will ensure the health services of pregnant women and their children.
