Abducted boy rescued, three held

Sylhet: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Thursday rescued a minor boy, who had been kidnapped from Comilla on July 26, from the bordering area of Goainghat upazila on Thursday, reports UNB. The victim was identified as Rony Mia, 7. Tipped off, a team of BGB conducted a raid on the house of one Hanif Mandal at Gucchagram in Jaflong area on Songram border and rescued the victim around 5pm. Three traffickers--Shaheen,28, Salah Uddin, 26, and Saiful Islam, 25, had kidnapped the boy from Comilla and brought him there in a bid to traffic him through the bordering area on July 26. However, the boy could not say the name of his parents and address. He was handed over to Goainghat Police Station.
