Hundi trader arrested in Jessore

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a hundi trader along with Tk 6 lakh from Putkhali area of Benapole port on Monday.

The arrestee was identified as M Faruk Hossain, 30, of Putkhali Bazar Para village in the district.

On information, a battalion of BGB-21 Putkhali camp launched a drive at Majid Bari and arrested Faruk along with money, said commanding officer of Putkhali camp Lt Col Md Tarikul Hakim.

A case was filed, said officer-in-charge of Benapole Port police station Apurba Hassan.
