Cop killed in Habiganj road accident
HABIGANJ: A constable was killed in a road accident at Boiddar Bazar of Sadar upzila of Habiganj district yesterday.
The constable is identified as Emran Ahmed, 24.
Officer-in-Charge of Habiganj Sadar Thana Easinul Haque said Emran was critically injured after a truck crushed his motorcycle on the Dhuliakhal-Mirpur road.
He succumbed to his injuries on way to a nearby hospital, he added.
Police seized the truck, but its driver managed to flee from the scene.
