Bangladesh drawn in Group A

Bangladesh national hockey team will leave for China tomorrow (Thursday) to play eight preparation matches before the participation in the Hero 10th Asia Cup Hockey. The team will return home on August 19.
Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) has already selected a 22-mmber team for the tour. BHF has also decided to send the team to India during the last part of this month also to play a series of preparation matches.
The eight nations tournament will be held at Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium from October 11 to 22. This will be the second time that Bangladesh will host Asia Cup Hockey after hosting the third edition in 1985.
The participating teams are: South Korea, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Japan, Oman, China and Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, the Asian Hockey Federation has drawn the grouping of the tournament on Monday. Bangladesh have been drawn in tough Group A with India, Pakistan and Japan. Reigning champions South Korea, Malaysia, China and Oman will fight from Group-B
