A 21-member squad including 31 players and eight officials of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club due to leave Dhaka for Kyrgyzstan today to play in the AFC Cup qualifying football to start from August 13.
Jamal, who will play the AFC Cup for the first time is going with a happy note when they celebrated their successive championship victory in the Bangladesh Premier Football League
last week.
However, led by former national star Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu, as the head of delegate of the team, Jamal is going without their key performer and the main striker Wedson Anselme.
Jamal will begin their campaign with taking on a team of Macao on August 13 and will face the host Kyrgyz team on August 15.
Players: Shahidul Alam Sohel, Mazharul Islam Himel and Maksudur Rahman (goalkeepers), Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, Kesto Kumar,Yamin Ahmed, Linkon, Didarul Haque, Raihan Hassan and Yasin Khan (defenders), Landing Darboe, Mamunul Islam, Jamal Bhuiyan, Alamgir Kabir Rana, Monaem Khan Raju, Sohel Rana, Rubel Meah (midfielders), Shakhawat Hossain Rony, Tokilis Ahmed, Chidozie Johnson and Emeka Darlington (forwards).
