Shamsuzzaman Dudu, an adviser to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, was released on bail from Kashimpur central jail in Gazipur on Friday. Earlier on Thursday, the Supreme Court upheld the High Court order that granted bail to BNP leader Dudu in a number of sabotage cases. Jailer of Kashimpur central jail part-2 Nasir Hossain said Dudu walked out of the jail around 12:15 am after the bail document reached the jail. Police arrested Dudu from Mirpur on January 12 during the countrywide blockade enforced by the BNP- led 20 party alliance. Later, he was shown arrested in 17 cases for carrying out arson attacks.
