AE Abdul Muhaimen has been appointed as the new managing director of United Commercial Bank Limited (UCB), the bank said in a press statement yesterday.
Prior to the new appointment, he was the additional managing director of UCB.
He started his career with ANZ Grindlays Bank as management trainee in 1986. He also worked with Standard Chartered Bank where his last position was Regional Head SME and Mortgages for Middle East and South Asia. Muhaimen was also the Head for Standard Chartered’s Consumer Banking Business in Bangladesh.
Muhaimen is a senior banking professional with 30 years of experience with MNC and Regional Banks in Asia, Australia, Middle East and Bangladesh, the statement added.
Muhaimen obtained post graduate degree in MBA from IBA, Dhaka University.
